Our work in maternal health care encompasses the dimensions of antenatal care services (including free ultrasound scanning) and postnatal care in order to ensure a positive and fulfilling experience during and after delivery. Pregnant mothers in rural communities are leveraging off this opportunity to see their developing babies and listening to their heartbeats for the first time ever.
We are also distributing birthing kits during our ANC, which has enabled us create programs that discourages harmful practices and improvs health outcome for pregnant mothers in rural communities across Nigeria. These programs include clean and safe childbirth, umbilical cord care, and prevention of Post-Partum Haemorrhage incidences.
Our ANC also provides evidence-based interventions such as tetanus toxoid immunization, early identification, treatment and management of pregnancy complications such as preeclampsia, HIV, syphilis, and intermittent preventive treatment for malaria in pregnancy (IPTp).
